Realism, with a sense of abstract, is a major facet of Mary Blumberg’s paintings. This is a result of many years’ study in a variety of creative art forms. Her chosen media, watercolor, has taken first place in painting and teaching. Her paintings have appeared in juried shows throughout the Mid-Atlantic region as well as local, state and national exhibitions.
Mary is a member of the Southern, Baltimore, and Florida Watercolor Societies. As an associate member of the American Watercolor and National Watercolor Societies, she continues to enter yearly shows. Mary is an vibrant member of local art activities. She has paintings in calvART Gallery, Annmarie Gardens and can be seen in shows with the Color & Light Society. One may also find her paintings in private collections throughout the United States including those custom-sized for private yachts. The National Capital Orchid Society awarded her painting, “Orchids in my Backyard” first place in their annual show.
